What are the ingredients of tortillas?
White or yellow non-GMO corn, lime and water. We don’t use bleachers, softeners, preservatives or colorants.
How are tortillas made?
Corn is cooked with lime and water, and after 8 - 12 hours of steeping, it is rinsed and ground into a soft dough from which the tortillas are made.
What is lime?
Lime is Calcium Hydroxide which is used in food processing.
